Where Did Sasu Go?

Okay, so the reason i haven't posted lately is because I've been trying to get into the Bloodborne DLC, I say it like that because it takes a couple steps to accomplish that. Well anyways, I'm attempting to get through it as fast as I can so I can do a review of The Old Hunters DLC, and I haven't gotten super far, but i already got one of the weapons I wanted when I heard about the DLC. So bear with me here, just trying to finish this so I can tell you guys all about my adventures, so until next time!

Localization, Sometimes It Hears Your Call

I’ve been gone for a while due to some technical difficulties, but I’m back and ready to get into this. I’ve had this article brewing for a while because I was hoping for localization of a specific game franchise, God Eater to be precise. Well someone heard my call because not only is God Eater 2 Rage Burst being localized, but so is God Eater Resurrection, Bandai Namco has officially revealed this, as well as it’s been stated that they’re going to have English voices throughout the game. And for these games we’re looking at a summer 2016 release, though these are not the only games Bandai Namco has announced, they’re bringing Tales of Berseria, Jojos Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven, One Piece Burning Blood, and Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS-Force. For those who don’t know what localization means, basically it’s referencing a game made in japan that’s coming overseas to America, or Europe, and it doesn’t always happen, but luckily in this case these games are coming to PlayStation 4! I don’t know much about the Xbox releases though, and it must be said that the Gundam game is a vita only. And that wraps up localization for the day!

Adidas Dropping New Yeezys Colorway? (750 Mention)

I can’t even lie, I’m real hyped up! This is a pair of shoes I can get down with, I’m talking about the new Yeezy 350 Boost white colorway! I’m taking this with a grain of salt, because one: I don’t want to be disappointed by a rumor, and two: If this ends up like the last time I tried to cop some Yeezys I will be very upset. Supposedly Kim Kardashian herself shared these Yeezys and a 2016 release was mentioned as well. Now as I was researching a new article I came across these and nearly lost my head in excitement! Even the 750s have been growing on me though I’ve never shown much interest in them, I might being rocking some Yeezys in the future if I’m lucky. Speaking of such, the Black 750s that everyone has been craving have a release date of December 19, just in time to swoop on before Christmas. Download those Adidas “Confirmed” apps and get ready to reserve them ASAP, because believe me I know how fast Yeezys disappear, also keep in mind the confirmed apps only work from New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Now be warned, do not delete the app if you’re able to reserve a pair, because your reservation is held in the app!

The Steam Pokemon?

When Pokémon X and Y came out in 2013 there were a couple Pokémon found in the game that weren’t released at the time, and one of those was Volcanion. Volcanion is fire and water type Pokémon, there’s no release date right now but we do know its weaknesses, strengths, and some of its attacks. Attacks are as follows: Steam eruption, scald, and weather ball. Strong against: Ground, bug, steel, and ice types. Weak against: Ground, rock, and electric types. Huh, guess ground is a double-edged sword. Well other than this being a really strange Pokémon, due to its types, Volcanion seems like it will have an interesting style to itself. Volcanion’s ability is called water absorb, which negates damage and restores HP by 25% of the user’s max HP. In the official announcement its description is as follows: This Pokémon uses fire and water to create steam within its body, expelling explosives shock waves and scalding steam from the arms on is back. Volcanion’s power is said to be so great it can destroy an entire mountain, gouging out the earth and changing the shape of the land! Its stats go HP-80 Atk-110 Def-120 Sp.Atk-130 Sp.Def-90 Speed-70, usually when a Pokémon is distributed it’s around level 50 so we can imagine it around there, and so it’s attacks will vary, as well as it’s stats. And that is the information I have on this new Pokémon, so we’ll see all about it when they release it.

Rejoice Destiny Players (Or Not)

If you’re a new player, or you finally want to level that new character you haven’t had time to, well here’s your chance. For $29.99 you can purchase an upgrade that will level one of your characters to 25, as well as level a subclass, and give you some telemetries. When The Taken King came out, it also came with an upgrade for one character to level 25, and it was meant for you to be able to experience The Taken King quickly. Honestly, this pisses me off, let me tell you why. Since I became an owner of a PlayStation 4 in October, I was a very active player of Destiny, and my attention wavered sometime after the fun of the expansions came. Even now, Destiny has lost me as a player, I haven’t felt like opening it, and I don’t really find it interesting, maybe that’ll change with a new expansion. But why does this microtransaction make me angry? Well because I was a very active player, I leveled up my characters through hours of grinding, and boy do I mean hours. How is it fair for someone with some money to skip a lot of the grind, not just character level, but also in leveling a subclass? I would say maybe in some cases it’s okay, switching from Xbox or PlayStation, or vice versa. But I feel like it takes a lot of fun out of the game if you’re able to buy yourself into the halfway point. Not to mention from the 25 point it’s relatively easy to level up that character through regular means, it’ll still take some time but why worry about time when you’ve already left behind the biggest hurdle? I think Bungie is making a mistake here, and I’m worried for the state of Destiny, though that is my opinion. If this was a more popular blog I’d ask for some comments below, but hey, I can dream right?

The Refreshing HP Replenishing Drink

I’m sorry for this small article but I can’t make it any bigger. For you Fallout junkies, Nuka Cola Quantum is returning to target December 18th, that is this Friday. It’s a repackage of berry lemonade, so for those collectors out there wondering of the taste, wonder no more, just buy it for collection purposes!

Electric Unicycle? Why?

Rideable tech is becoming a thing now, we have the so called “hoverboard” segways, and now the Uniwheel? Basically it’s a self-balancing electric unicycle, all you do is step on both sides, grip the wheel between your calves and lean forward and back to go. This is a rideable coming from the UK, and it’s really meant to fix the “last mile”, in London this is the commute to your office from the bus station or tube station. (Subway basically) With a top speed of 18 kmph (around 11 mph) and a range of around 10 miles, the Uniwheel is meant to deliver you to your office. Though you could walk the last mile or so, it seems more like a lazy invention than It Is practical, not to mention there are better designed rideables as well. Rideables being illegal in the UK might kill this off pretty fast, I guess only time can tell. If you’re interested in the Uniwheel the website is as follows: http://uniwheel.co.uk/

What Do You Know About Karma?

Drones are getting bigger and bigger these days. Bringing a new realm to photography, and videography. It brings together a new view on things, and GoPro is getting into the business of drones as well. All we know right now is the name, the GoPro Karma. It’s imagined to be a quadcopter, with 4K filming capabilities, but that’s not 100% so all we can do is wait for more news in 2016. There is a video up about it, it’s not really about anything, but it does show some interesting video shots. If it interests you here ya go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_HVmFA47w0

Artist Spotlight: Gnash

Music gives way to some beautiful emotions, I’ve already talked about Blackbear, and now I’m telling you about Gnash. I’d say Gnash makes the same kind of music as Blackbear, through his lyrics, his tone, and his rhythm, it brings out something in you. I heard about Gnash when I was getting ready for a Blackbear, he was one of the acts that played before him, Gnash came out to greet a bunch of us and take pictures and he was just a really nice guy. Well when he got on stage, got his guitar prepared, and when his voice was heard, everyone listened. There was the feel good songs, the emotional ones, and the ones that made everyone jump around and sing and that’s only the first time I’ve seen him, on his soundcloud he has a lot of great songs, and boy is it a great way to start the day.

Find him on soundcloud, you’ll dig it. https://soundcloud.com/gnash

Beartooth + Japan = More Music

I just wanted to make a quick article about Beartooths album release in Japan. So on June 10th, 2014 Beartooth came out with their first studio album, Disgusting Beartooth is described as a metalcore band, and Disgusting was such a great album, not only in my opinion but also according to sources such as: Altpress, HM magazine, etc. Well anyways when the album was released in Japan (About a week or two back) as the Japanese version it came with 3 songs, one being a cover. I loved every inch of Disgusting, I found myself singing along with it even when I wasn’t actively listening to them, now I’m not a music critic so that’s not what this is. All I’m doing here is letting fans though that there are 2 new songs to jam to, and anyone who hasn’t heard of Beartooth, well if it’s the kind of music you’re into then you’d enjoy it too. Lyrics and all.

Artist Spotlight: Blackbear

Okay, so my friends would be able to tell you I might have a slight Blackbear addiction, but it's for good reason! Blackbear is a singer from Los Angeles, he'd describe his music genre as vibe, and if you listened to him you'd definitely figure out why. He goes from singing about drugs, fame, women, love, heartbreak, life, fun times, but that's only scratching the surface! I find that his music is very emotional, strong, and I think of him as the only artist whose music can make me happy, rowdy, can make me cry, and think. I found Blackbear, whose name is Mat Musto, around 2013 featured on a Machine Gun Kelly song. Since I downloaded his Sex mixtape, I’ve been hooked. To this date he has one mixtape, three extended plays one being an acoustic album, (EP) two studio albums, and a large amount of singles. (I’m at 30 right now) I’ve gone to 2 shows of his this year, and I will say I’ve never enjoyed a show more than I’ve enjoyed a Blackbear show. I’ve done warped tour twice, I’ve seen my favorite bands in a multitude of shows, and I’ve done self-help fest, and I’m looking at going next year as well, and I can say with the greatest confidence I’ve never had more fun than I did while I sang my heart out with everyone else in the crowd. And for the record I know the lyrics to nearly every song he sings, just throwing that out there, I don’t think I’d be able to pick out my favorite song either I need to put a lot of thought into it. If you’re into R&B vibes, emotionally raw lyrics, a hot beat, and you just like good music look up Blackbear. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but some of you will thank me after looking him up.

Super Gaming Saturday: The Old Hunters

Ever heard of Dark Souls? The game where your goal is to succeed through death? Dark Souls goes up to 3 now, and there’s another game made by FromSoftware called Bloodborne, a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Recently Bloodborne got some new downloadable content, (DLC) called The Old Hunters, I can’t afford it right now but I’ll be damned if I don’t play it. Anyways, one of the most interesting new additions that this DLC brings is a weapon called Simon’s Bowblade. Well in Bloodborne what’s cool about the weapons is the fact that they have two functions, so Simon’s Bowblade is first a sword, but when activated turns into a greatbow. So what’s so cool about that? Well if you played the game before you’d know that the melee weapons can reach to a certain point, and some of them do have the added function of activating into a gun. Well in this game you do have your own firearm, but firearms in this game aren’t very good, they’re used to stun enemies or to counterattack. Well the weapon being able to turn into a bow is pretty darn cool because it gives you a lot of range and when you lock onto an enemy you can pretty much stand as far away, within reason, from an enemy and tear them to shreds with arrows. And that’s only one of many weapons that come from this new DLC, not to mention a new band of non-player characters (NPC) have been added recently and hooking up with these NPC’s could net yourself a staff that can give you access to a leaderboard that ranks everyone else who joined The League (The League being the new band of NPC’s). I can’t get into the story of The Old Hunters, because I don’t want to ruin it for myself to be honest. So if you want to get at this new DLC its $19.99, and Bloodborne is a really sick game so I would recommend it highly.

Remote Play Coming To A Computer Near You

So I’m a PlayStation gamer, never had an Xbox and never really felt like getting one, the main reason being is the way I saw it as Xbox getting shooters exclusively, and PlayStation getting RPGs exclusively. And I’ve never been too into shooters, I can do Destiny, and Fallout but they have big RPG elements to them, so I’ll always be leaning this blog towards PlayStation, and maybe when I get some more notoriety someday I’ll get into the Xbox side. For that matter, I don’t have a Nintendo console so I can’t get into that either. So without further ado, I’ll just get to what I planned on.  I have a habit of looking into random things, finding out random information, and just researching things that generally don’t matter, and I usually find out some cool stuff out of about 50 things. There isn’t a lot for me to go over, and so I found out that Remote Play (PlayStation 4) is coming to PC and Mac. And it’s been confirmed that it’s getting worked on by Shuhei Yoshida, who is Sonys president of worldwide studios. So what is Remote Play? Well what it is, is that if you have a PS Vita you’re able to play most PS4 games and have them stream to your Vita, so the way I see it is that you’d be able to stream to your computer instead of a television. So that’s a pretty cool option to be able to stream onto your computer if you didn’t have access to a television, or if your friend brought a PlayStation over and you didn’t have a spare television. So look out for that, if I can get any more information I’ll bust it out!

Tryna Cop Those Yeezys?

I’ve been a fan of the Yeezy 350 boosts when I saw the white variant, though I wasn’t lucky enough to cop them. I did stay up till they released, but the websites were all crashed due to the web traffic, and when the site loaded again they were gone. But I mean enough of that, I’m going to be talking about a new colorway that seem to have gotten people going a little crazy, and that would be “Oxford Tan” I’m not a big fan of the color, but I still do really like the boosts, and tan has to be someone’s color right? The release date is set to December 29, and as usual they’ll retail for $200, so if you have the cash or want a late Christmas present jump on these! Adidas has a reservation app, so use that to your advantage, I’ll be honest I’m not too sure how the app works but I’ll figure out once a new colorway that catches my eyes goes on sale!

Fashion Friday: The Bionic Model

What better way to start off my first Fashion Friday, but with The Bionic Model herself? Rebekah Marine is your typical beautiful model, well besides the fact that she has a prosthetic right arm anyways. She’s been around since 2011. But she didn’t make it big till she modeled for FTL MODA, and then came her feature in Nordstroms 2015 catalog and another call from FTL MODA got her into New York Fashion Week (NYFW). And well, she’s blown up since then! And not only is she a model, she’s also an ambassador for Touch Bionics, a company that’s advancing in the bionics game. And ambassador for the Lucky Fin Project, to raise awareness and support those with an “upper limb difference” as mentioned by the website. Though she’s been getting deeper into the model game, there are still times she gets turned down “My image isn’t for everyone; I’ve accepted that.” She says. I love that the world is turning into a more open place bit by bit, because women like her turn out to be a real good role model and inspiration to some who feel that they don’t have the right image. To this day Rebekah works for a car dealership so modeling is really in her free time, and that speaks volumes that she’s doing what she loves and that’s just a beautiful thought. Rebekah Marine you’re a beautiful woman, and I hope you can inspire and show that anyone can be a model if they just put their mind to it.

Thank You Adult Swim!

Cartoons these days, kind of suck. Like there’s less than a handful that are actually good, I’m not naming them because that’s not the point of this. But anyways, I know a lot of you remember “Samurai Jack” that samurai dude that fought the evil known as Aku and even more so after being cast into the future. Jack went through a lot of crap to take down that tricky Aku, but he never did. Whenever Jack came across Aku they tore at each other though they haven’t finished their fight to this day. It’s never been to the death, well my point being “Samurai Jack” is coming back! It’s been confirmed that in 2016 “Samurai Jack“ is coming to Adult Swim, there’s literally no more details about the show other than that Genndy Tartakovsky is returning to bring his magic to the show once more. So I don’t know about you, but I might just be binge watching the show until it’s time!

It's Not Easy Being Into Anime

Let’s get this straight, I grew up on “Dragon Ball Z” that being said I found out about a Shenron “cushion” as they call it. Basically it’s a pillow, up to 6.56 feet. Now how amazing does that sound? If you’re an anime fan, and a big DBZ fan then you’d totally jump on this right? I know I would love to, a giant Shenron pillow would make my night. Well I thought so until the price hit me, $219. Let that sink in, being an anime nerd doesn’t pay nearly enough for me to afford that. Bandai, you’ve hurt me. I’d forgive you for a Shenron cushion in the mail, but other than that I don’t know how I’ll look at you the same.

Truth or False Thursday: iPhone 7 Rumor Roundup

There’s a bit to talk about here, though the 7 isn’t expected till about September 2016 there are a lot of rumors going around right now, so I just wanted to jump into that and shine some light on theories and thoughts. With the way Apple has gone so far when they ascend to a new number they change the hardware design, such as when they go into the “S” series they upgrade the software, and with the iteration of the 6 they brought about the plus variant. So far it’s been 6/6 Plus, 6s/6s Plus, following that should be the 7/7 plus, but now there are some thoughts that they might bring about a 7c as well. So that could mean that a c-variant could come every other cycle, the 7c is supposed to sport the A9 chip, a metal body instead of that cheap ol’ plastic, as well as sticking to the original 4 inch size. So for those who think the 6/6s is a bit too big, this is a happy compromise I imagine.

Back to the matter at hand, so following tradition the 7 is going to look a lot different, but what can Apple change? Well since the coming of the 6 there’s been talk of ditching the audio jack to slim down the phone even further, so what would that mean for us that love our music? Well there are now headphones that are usable through the lightning connector, not to mention Bluetooth headphones/earphones, and if Apple does away with the headphone jack they’ll have to provide new earpods to go along with them. In this case maybe a second lightning connector would be efficient? They’d still have the same function, but you’d be able to switch them, as well as listen to music and charge at the same time. There’s a 99.87% chance that will never happen though so it’s more wishful thinking than anything. There’s been talk of losing the home button, in favor of what’s called a 3D screen, though this is expected to be seen in the 8, at least. It’s possible to see a near bezel-less screen though, and that’s a comforting thought in itself. Is anyone else holding out for a shatterproof screen? I know a lot of you hate cases on your iPhone, hell my sisters have all cracked their iPhones and me and my brother-in-law are the only ones with cases, I also have a tempered glass screen protector so I have little to no worries, but enough about me. Back to the lightning connector, there’s talk of Apple prototyping iPhones with a USB-C port instead of lightning connector! And really I barely recovered from the 30-pin connector disaster, don’t do this to us again Apple, I don’t know how many upsets we can go through before you’re satisfied. I’m hoping for a new stronger camera, I would not disagree with more megapixels, for the front facing or the main camera, just saying Apple. And to wrap up this hardware section I just have to mention that there’s talk of a waterproof frame, as well as dust proof, along with a shatterproof screen this could make for a near invincible iPhone, and well that would be pretty cool!

Onto the software portion now, let’s start with screen resolution. The 6/6s had a resolution of 1334x750, and the 6 plus/6s plus went to 1980x1080, here’s to hoping they’ll bump the 7 to 1920x1080, and the 7 plus to Quad High Definition (QHD) proportions, I’m talking 2560x1440 that’s a big enough step for Apple, it’s not 4K video playback quality but it’s as close as they’ll get for a while. If all of a sudden they cranked their resolution up I think I’d be caught in a state of shock but, I digress. Of course the iPhone 7 will step up with a better processor from the A9, to the A10/AX, being a duel-core, there’s even been talk of grinding out a hexa-core processor. (6 cores) The idea of that is so beautiful I’d cry to hear that news. RAM is expected to stay at 2GB for the 7, and jump up to 3GB with the 7 plus, the way they’re making it sound it could be a worthy competitor to the other companies, and could see a lot of defectors jumping aboard. That is to say if phones keep off the steroids and don’t just pump themselves up to terrifying portions. It’s not concrete, but Apple could be ditching the 16GB model for an entry-level of 32GB instead, not to mention there’s whispers of a higher capacity than 128GB, is it possible? Yeah it’s possible I suppose, though not plausible. I can’t imagine seeing higher than 128GB, though it is quite possible, just don’t bet on it okay? I’d like to wrap this up so the last few points I’m going to be going over are more color options, though it’s more likely this would be seen in the 7c, and finally is wireless charging. Need I say more? Wireless. Charging. If they did go this route maybe the lightning cable earpods are more of a possibility, though usually wireless chargers turn out to be accessories bought later into the life of your smart phone. And this concludes my first rumor roundup, stay tuned for so much more and thank you for sticking with me this far!

Headphones Leaving Behind Audio Jacks?

It started with rumors of the iPhone 6 and 6 plus ditching the audio jack for a slimmer phone, but when designs leaked that turned out to be false. Well now it seems like it could happen in the future, because headphones that use the iPhones lightning cable are a new thing! Now be warned these aren’t for the average consumer because they have quite a hefty price tag, from the Philips Fidelio NC1 at $199, to the Audeze EL-8 Titanium at $799. But today I’m talking about the EL-8 Titanium because it is the first to offer “A fully integrated lighting connector for your iPhone” as quoted by them. These headphones have an in-line microphone, and remote control, so you’re able to take calls, is SIRI compatible, and control your music as well as the volume. Though when it gets down to it, this is more an audiophiles dream than everyday consumers. I will throw up the specs for those that care, but I don't see myself going on like this often.

Specs:
Frequency Response: 10Hz-50kHz (Hertz, Kilohertz)

Virtual Reality, How Does It Make You Feel?

What is virtual reality (VR), what does it mean, and why should you care?

Definition: The computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way by a person using special electronic equipment, such as a helmet with a screen inside or gloves fitted with sensors..

You can trace the origins pretty far back, but that's not what we're here for. Well all that is fine and dandy, but what does it mean? It opens up a whole new plane, medicine, surgery, dentistry, but the biggest consumer targeted venture for VR is video games!

Now, why should you care, video games are fun by themselves. But what if I told you that it's possible to project yourself into a game as the character you're controlling? Your eyes are his eyes, your ears are his ears, you've submerged yourself into this experience. Now I’m not saying you can move your legs and arms in reality and your character would follow, but hearing, and seeing as that character is impressive on its own. The most well known VR headset would have to be the Oculus Rift, console gaming is trying to figure out VR for itself, but for computer gamers they don't have to worry about it. Not all games are VR compatible, but for those that are, you're in for an experience. The first time I ever saw any type of VR, I was introduced to this machine that you would step in, and it would simulate a roller coaster, it would shake, it would turn, all while you look on as if you're actually on the roller coaster. This was pretty early on in my life, so it's not nearly as impressive as now. There are more refined roller coaster simulations, and the most interesting use of video game VR I've seen has to be horror games. Can you imagine being face to face with a spirit, a murderer, a demon, even finding yourself dying on the ground? The only thing being you wouldn't feel any of it, the only that you would feel is fear and adrenaline, what a new experience!

I would like to reiterate about console gaming VR, so far Sony is the first one to step up, out of both them and Microsoft. Now that doesn't mean that Sony has the upper hand, because they could fail in their venture, but if they succeed Sony is going to bring a whole new outlook to video games.

So what I’m telling you, is to look out for virtual reality video games, they’re going to sneak up on you before you know it.
